SECTOR 5 at Kiremico Sessions

Berlin is doubtlessly a center of contemporary culture, far-flung and homespun. Here is where you inevitably end up at some point during your creative journey if you’re looking to get away from the trite and mundane. Here you will find yourself lost among the endless latticework of urban sprawl that hustles and bustles with potential inspiration on every corner. It’s the perfect ecosystem if you’ve been struggling to get some lines down on paper, or craft a catchy hook to your next track.

It’s no surprise that the Berlin-bred Sector 5 are on a fast track for success as their music is reflective of their life spent roaming this city unconstrained. With a pop-rock outlook that serves to reinvent the sounds that shaped previous generations of alternative rock and pop icons, Sector 5 doesn’t seem to fall far from the tree of failsafe, guitar-driven music that is a refresher in a world estranged from organic music composition. As students of BIMM Berlin, the band naturally employs an unconventional skill set thanks to a particular regimen of hands-on training and studies in all aspects of the music industry. One could aptly deem them “young professionals” in the best sense of the term, minus the stiffness and the cufflinks.

The Sector 5 youth cut their teeth on rock icons like Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Linkin Park, all of which (likely) pumped through their Bluetooth headphones on Spotify family subscriptions throughout their growing pains and personal milestones of the recent past. The raw talent of the young band members could have led to other endeavors, but luckily Sector 5 converged in just the right conditions to establish themselves as the up-and-coming band that you can’t help but speculate about where they’re heading next. Teenage angst is now honed to a controlled state of matured subject matter, packaged as a pleasant listening experience for anyone to enjoy.
